About Our Commitment to Privacy


Talking Business, LLC (“Talking Business” or “We”) is committed to the protection and safeguarding of personal data collected from persons who are (a) research participants and (b) people we are doing business with.

      • Talking Business respects the privacy of businesses who work with us and individuals who participate in our research efforts.
      • We do not share any personally identifying information with our clients, except where the client has provided participants’ information to Talking Business, such as with a customer list.
      • When we work with recruiters and sample providers, we adhere to their privacy standards and our own.
      • To protect the identity and confidentiality of research participants, Talking Business does not resell information linked with participant personal identification to anyone outside of our company without expressed permission of participants.
      • By visiting our site or using our services, you understand that your information will be transferred to our facilities, online marketing research platforms and those third parties with whom we share it as described in this Privacy Policy.


Information We Collect


      • Here are some examples of information we may collect to determine if you qualify for a research project:
        • When we recruit, we may collect contact information, such as name, email address and phone numbers.
        • When we work with a recruiter, we expect the recruiter to retain all contact information, except email as described above, and not to share it with anyone else.
        • We collect business-related information such as the number of employees, annual sales, the number of locations and demographic information such as age, gender, profession, education and other background information.
        • We share first names and last initials of our participants and only information pertinent to their qualification for the study, and we offer individuals the opportunity to use a pseudonym, when requested by the participant.
        • Personal information may also be disclosed when written project instruments clearly states that it will be.



Data Security


      • We do not maintain a database of research participants.
      • We almost always record our research sessions. We share these recordings with the client, transcription services and other third party research service providers.
      • We delete recordings and databases of personally identifiable information within one year of the completion of the research. This website does not collect cookies.
      • Our sites are not intended for or designed to attract individuals under the age of 18.
      • The information Talking Business collects on our website is used to communicate with current and potential clients and third party research providers.
      • Talking Business will not sell, distribute or otherwise release personally identifiable information it collects to a third party, other than to clients and third parties as outlined in this Policy.
      • Although we share certain information with our clients, Talking Business does not expose full contact information without expressed permission from invited participants.
      • Notwithstanding the preceding, if it becomes necessary by law or legal process for Talking Business to disclose your personal information, we may do so upon the determination that such disclosure is legally required.
      • In the event of Talking Business reorganization, merger or sale, we may transfer any personal information to the relevant third party.


Privacy Rights Under European and North American Data Protection Laws


      • You have the right to access or restrict processing, erase your information. You may contact us to request information about the personal data we have collected about you and to request the correction, modification, or deletion of such personal information.

If you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes your privacy rights according to privacy regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of alleged infringement.
      • If you are visiting our site from outside of North America, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in North America, where our servers are located.
      • From time to time we may send you notices or promotional emails. Participation is voluntary and constitutes an independent contractor relationship, not an employment relationship.
