Hi, there! I’m Holly O’Neill, Founder, Chief Insights Curator and Lead Moderator.
Marketing skills developed early in life for me. When my father died of cancer when I was a teenager, I threw myself into Junior Achievement (J.A.) as a way to managing the grief. As VP of Sales & Marketing for my J.A. company, we manufactured and sold over 300 soda can lamps!
After earning a business degree from Penn State, a life-changing move to California, an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a Screen Actor’s Guild card, I tried out for game shows. I solved multiple puzzles on Wheel of Fortune. I even held the reigning champion title for The $100,000 Pyramid for 10 years!
Game shows were fun, but business is where my heart was. I created and hosted a TV business talk show, called “Talking Business.” It’s where I got the name for my qualitative research agency.
The time spent modeling, acting and hosting a talk show taught me valuable rapport-building skills and in-depth interviewing skills I use when engaging respondents and moderating online focus groups.
